My name is Ashley,
and I am currently a Manager for the Center for Emerging Professionals with the American Institute of Architects (AIA). I received a Masters of Architecture from Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning in May 2011. I also received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture with Academic Honors from Ball State University in May 2009. In my six years of education at Ball State, my interest in the fields of design and communication allowed me to gain experience through creative problem solving; graphic and verbal presentations; and networking and personal branding. As a designer, collaboration and communication are key factors in successful project completion. Today more than ever, communications via avenues such as social media are presenting possibilities and challenges to businesses and especially design firms. My experience in design and communication has heightened my awareness to these outlets and furthered my interests in marketing and branding.
Writing has been a vital tool in my creative problem solving and communication methods exercises. (You’ll seeĀ samples of my writing on this website.) Photography is also a creative outlet that I enjoy and has been an excellent means of documenting another passion – travel.
In a world bursting at the seams with technological opportunities, this space is just one of several ways for me to communicate with you. I hope you enjoy what you see and read. Thanks for stopping by!
